“XIANG PEN PEN Tokyo Kiba,” once beloved as a specialty tantanmen shop, has been reborn as “XIANG PEN PEN,” a dinner‑focused Chinese restaurant. The name, meaning “rich, enticing aroma” in Chinese, reflects the restaurant’s vibrant culinary spirit.
The kitchen is led by Chef Shuichi Kuki, who trained extensively in both Shanghai and Cantonese cuisine, and further honed his craft at the renowned shark fin restaurant Tsukushiro Marunouchi and the popular tantanmen spot Chinese Restaurant Koana. This restaurant represents the culmination of his experience, offering a diverse selection of à la carte dishes and course menus.
Guests can enjoy a lively, open‑kitchen atmosphere where signature dishes—including the famed tantanmen—are prepared right before their eyes. The drink lineup is equally appealing, featuring natural wines, Shaoxing wine, craft beers, and Taiwanese whisky, all at approachable prices.
