Plaiga, headed by chef Shota Ikeda, brings guests closer to the seasons with its vegetable-forward course menus. Diners enjoy the changing of the seasons as reflected in a sea of trees and elegant landscape that surrounds the restaurant. Chef Ikeda's signature dish, Yamagata Tsuyahime Kegani, reflects the changing seasons as viewed along the Wadakura waterway of the Imperial Palace, which can be seen from Plaiga's floor to ceiling windows. In addition to its frequent vegetable rotations Plaiga also directly sources Hida beef from gifu prefecture throughout the year, paying attention to changes in the meat's quality and character in each season. The restaurant received Michelin Guide selection in both 2023 and 2024.

Chef Ishida takes pride in offering beef with a 2-week aging time and unique light-fastness, dubbed "Azuki-iro" due to its similarity to red beans. This deep, rusty color exemplifies the ideal balance between lean and fatty meat, a careful product of Japanese breeding techniques and expert aging. 4. Sazaanka (さざんか) / Teppanyaki / Toranomon

Sazanka's 41st-floor restaurant space towers over much of the city. Its windows are occupied by evening views of stars and open sky with glimpses of Tokyo's cityscape as seen from The Okura Prestige. Sazanka traces its cuisine back to the roots of teppanyaki and is a classic representative of the Okura brand. Teppanyaki, now a classic culinary style, was first debuted for the 1964 Olympics to captivate foreign visitors with the quality of Japanese cooking. Souten's interior calls attention to its soaring location on the 35th floor of The Prince Gallery. From walls and ceilings, artful furnishings inspired by crystalline structures build on the venue's ice theme. As if frozen in time, this restaurant sources the best ingredients from the season and served them fresh. A floor to ceiling wine cellar contrasts the sweeping views of Tokyo viewed from wrap-around windows. In addition to a main dining room serving Japanese food, guests can choose to dine at a dedicated sushi counter or sip sake sourced from around Japan at WASHOKU SOUTEN's sake bar.
