About Kyoshoran MainStore

Experience a unique and enjoyable culinary adventure created by a combination of authentic Japanese Wagyu Yakiniku (grilled barbecue) and our friendly staff’s hospitality which helps you become an expert cook.

Located in Kyobashi, northeast of Osaka Castle, Kyoshoran MainStore was founded in 2011. The Owner and Wagyu Chef, Daisuke Fukumoto, has a vision of preserving and contributing to Japan’s proud Wagyu culture and aiming to support Wagyu farmers. Wagyu cattle are raised under strict conditions and are often fed a special diet in Japan.

Wagyu beef is renowned for its high degree of marbling, which refers to the intramuscular fat distributed throughout the meat. This marbling contributes to its exceptional tenderness, juiciness, and unique flavor. The intramuscular fat, including unsaturated fats, melts at a lower temperature, resulting in a melt-in-your-mouth quality that is highly prized by food connoisseurs. Wagyu beef also contains much lean meat with rich amino acid profiles, which has a flavor often described as umami.

Kyoshoran offers a variety of cuts that include Wagyu Tenderloin, Harami Steak, and Tongue, allowing customers to explore different textures and flavors. Our signature dish is thinly sliced Wagyu Striploin, quickly seared and dipped in our homemade ponzu sauce.

Since its foundation, Fukumoto has attracted renowned chefs and foodies, including Michelin-starred chefs of Japanese cuisine. His unique yakiniku is served with carefully selected sauces, marinades, and seasonings that enhance the natural flavor of the meat.

You can also enjoy charcoal-grilling with a smokeless roaster. Kyoshoran combines the pleasures of premium-quality meat, interactive cooking, and dining experience for any occasion, where friends and family gather around a grill, enjoying the process of cooking and sharing the meal together.

We invite you to savor a memorable culinary experience that is unique to Kyoshoran.

Awesome food, and exceptionally friendly service!! The wagyu cuts were really good, I do not take innards, so was rewarded with even more wagyu! Serving portions were generous. American red wines were slightly pricey for what they are, but delicious nonetheless...

Hiroki is a great host - explaining the source and cuts of beef, recommended sauces and dips and ideal doneness.

This is our first time in Japan and we have had some incredible meals and some that we will forever remember. But not only was the food and experience at Kyoshoran exceptional, it was the service we received from Hiroki that made it one of the best experiences we have ever had. Hiroki, and the wonderful and talented staff that prepared the food, made sure we had a dinner that we will always remember!

Enjoyed our dinner and enjoyed the beef! Great stuff with great service thanks to Takashi! Although, we were super full afterwards since they serve a lot of plates of beef! Great value! Loved the soup at the end too! Really recommend this place!

The quality of Wagyu is incredible. We deeply appreciate the service of the staff. I visited after making a reservation, and I was told that it is a special course that is not on the menu of the store. They give us a lot of different parts of Wagyu, so it's a good idea to leave your stomach empty before visiting.

While this place has no Michelin star on a site with a large amount of Michelin stars, it manages to keep a very high standard for quality, service, and heart. Hiroki was our main server for our American group, who was both proficient in English and incredibly friendly. While we've had a decent amount of Japanese A5 wagyu both in Japan and in the US, the varied cuts from different prefectures and the attention to detail in the tinniest distinctions between areas still entreats you to some new flavors. As a regular Michelin diner, this was a wonderful dining experience in Osaka and we will absolutely visit again. Highly recommend their beef tongue and their hanger steak.

We had the most amazing wagyu beef experience at this restaurant! For the omakase course, we were served close to 10 different beef courses. Our server was really friendly and helpful in explaining the cut of the beef and how to cook in English. Taste was superb! Highly recommend this place, especially for travelers that can make reservations online.
