Kikunoi Niku Unshu carves out a new realm of meat cuisine in Kyoto, the culinary capital. Building upon the deep knowledge of ingredients and the exquisite techniques cultivated over many years by the established ryotei "Kikunoi," we offer innovative meat dishes that bring out the profound flavors of carefully selected beef to the fullest.

Unshu pursues the infinite possibilities hidden within the simple ingredient of "meat." We prepare A5-grade Chateaubriand with optimal cooking methods, allowing guests to experience a moving journey where the umami flavor and sweetness of the meat layer upon layer.

The interior features a massive single-slab counter, vintage Danish chairs, and a custom-made wine cellar, enveloping guests in a truly quiet and serene atmosphere.

Beyond simply savoring the meat, we enhance its breadth and depth of flavor through combinations with seasonal vegetables and thoughtfully crafted condiments. Our dishes, born from free-thinking ideas while based on traditional Japanese styles, captivate our guests.

At the counter seats, you can enjoy the chef's skilled techniques right before your eyes, creating a special ambiance. Private rooms are also available, allowing you to relax and enjoy yourself for various occasions.

  If you have any specific food allergies or ingredients you cannot consume, please inform us in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot accept reservations if there are ingredients that you cannot eat within a wide range.

• Arrival time:

  Please arrive 5 minutes before your reserved time to ensure a timely start of your meal. If you do not contact us and arrive more than 30 minutes after your reservation time, it will be automatically canceled.

• Dress Code:

  Dress code is smart casual (Please refrain from wearing T-shirts, shorts, and sandals when you visit.)

• Children:

  Guests aged 16 and above are welcome.

• Others:

  ・We kindly ask for your consideration regarding excessive perfume or fabric softener fragrances.

  ・We use delicate and high-value glassware and plateware at our restaurant, which are easily damaged. For this reason, please refrain from toasting with glasses.

  ・Please refrain from taking photos inside the restaurant and posting photos of the interior on social media.
