About HOPPERS
“Hoppers,” located in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, is a fine-dining restaurant serving Sri Lankan cuisine through thoughtfully composed set-course menus.
The owner-chef has spent many years exploring the potential of spice-driven cuisine, reinterpreting Sri Lanka’s culinary traditions in a contemporary style.
Centered around hoppers—bowl-shaped crêpes made from a fermented mixture of rice flour and coconut milk—the lunch menu offers wholesome, vegetable-focused home-style dishes, while dinner features structured courses designed to pair with wine.
The simple, modern interior is accented with waterwheel parts and oars brought from Sri Lanka, quietly creating a sense of escape. With dishes crafted with meticulous attention to aroma, temperature, and finish, the restaurant provides an experience well suited for anniversaries and other important occasions.
