Welcome to EWIG, an Austrian restaurant newly opened in Minami-Aoyama.

The name “EWIG,” meaning “eternal” in German, reflects our desire to offer unforgettable moments of culinary beauty that linger in the heart.

Our menu is curated by Chef Shinji Kanno, the only Japanese chef to have trained at a three-star restaurant in Austria.

His creations fuse authentic Austrian techniques with a modern sensibility, offering a fresh and refined interpretation of Austrian cuisine.

Our signature dish, the “Foie Gras Terrine – Sacher Torte Style,” is inspired by Austria’s iconic dessert.

Enjoy the exquisite harmony of foie gras terrine marinated in a wine crafted from a native Austrian varietal, paired with cacao sponge and Austrian apricot jam.

We offer a selection of approximately 50 Austrian wines, with tailored pairings available to complement each course.

We’ve prepared two counter seats for a dynamic, live experience, and eight table seats for a more leisurely and comfortable meal.

  If you have any specific food allergies or ingredients you cannot consume, please inform us in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot accept reservations if there are ingredients that you cannot eat within a wide range.

  Please note that we may not be able to accommodate reservations if you have multiple dietary restrictions. (Examples include: vegan, vegetarian, no meat, no fish, no vegetables, gluten-free, lactose-free, etc.)

• Arrival time:

  Please arrive 5 minutes before your reserved time to ensure a timely start of your meal. If you do not contact us and exceed your reservation time, it will be automatically canceled.

• Dress Code:

  Dress code is smart casual (Please refrain from wearing T-shirts, shorts, and sandals when you visit.)

• Children:

  Guest aged 12 and under, only those who can enjoy the same course as adults are allowed.

• Others:

  We kindly ask for your consideration regarding excessive perfume or fabric softener fragrances.
