About TAKAO
TAKAO is an innovative restaurant created by Hokkaido-born chef Tomoyuki Takao, who combines his deep love for his hometown with the wisdom and originality of his predecessors. Ingredients nurtured by Hokkaido’s rich nature are transformed into creative cuisine, offering a “Dosanko (made in or born in Hokkaido) Gastronomy” experience unique to this place.
The chef himself ventures into the mountains and forests to gather wild plants, wildflowers, acorns, trees, and other rare and valuable ingredients. His creative cuisine, which fully utilizes Hokkaido’s climate, will captivate visitors with all five senses.
TAKAO is more than just a restaurant. With themes of “Cooking the Forest” and “Adding Value to the Forest,” TAKAO is actively involved in the protection and sustainability of Hokkaido’s natural environment.
The lean, simple, yet sophisticated space evokes the warmth of a “Hokkaido house.” The interior design, furniture, and artwork created by local craftsmen provide visitors with a sense of peace and tranquility.
Wines born from Hokkaido’s terroir, with their seasonal expressions, are an integral part of TAKAO’s cuisine. Enjoy the pairing of carefully selected Hokkaido wines for an even deeper flavor experience.

OMAKASE Course
From June to August, if sea urchin is available on a given day, the price will be 26,358 JPY (tax and service charge included).
The difference will be settled on-site along with any additional drink charges.

If you have any specific food allergies or ingredients you cannot consume, please inform us in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot accept reservations if there are ingredients that you cannot eat within a wide range.

Please arrive 5 minutes before your reserved time to ensure a timely start of your meal. If you do not contact us and exceed 30 minutes your reservation time, it will be automatically canceled.
