About Kinon
Kinon is a counter-seat wood-fired restaurant run by a chef who was the first Japanese to work as a chef at the three-star Michelin restaurant Saison in San Francisco. You can savor unique dishes available exclusively here while feeling the flickering flames up close.
Dishes made with Kamakura vegetables and carefully curated ingredients are prepared over a dedicated wood fire. The restaurant has consecutively been awarded three toques by Gault & Millau.
At the counter surrounding the wood-fired oven, you can enjoy a course meal that includes the specialty sea urchin toast. Alongside Kamakura vegetables and seafood caught at the local Nagai fishing port, veal, duck, and other game, as well as carefully selected Japanese black beef, are cooked using delicate wood-fire techniques.
Owner chef Toshikazu Murano trained at renowned French restaurants L'Effervescence and ESqUISSE in Tokyo, before honing his skills at the three-star Saison in San Francisco. Indulge in simple, delicate dishes crafted over a wood fire and paired with a selection of exquisite California wines.
