Miyagawacho Tensho is a tempura kappo restaurant helmed by a chef who formerly served for many years as the head chef at a long-established ryokan—a traditional Japanese inn—in Kyoto.

The restaurant offers the unique pleasure of enjoying both tempura and traditional Japanese cuisine. The owner personally selects the finest seasonal seafood and vegetables, sourcing them from regions where they are at their peak.

To ensure each piece of tempura is served at its absolute best—fresh from the fryer—the restaurant offers only ten counter seats. Seasonal ingredients are delicately fried in 100% white soybean oil, chosen for its clean flavor that allows the natural aroma of the ingredients to shine through. The light, crisp batter enhances the inherent taste and fragrance of each item.

With its calm and refined atmosphere, Miyagawacho Tensho is ideal for a quiet date, a business dinner, or a relaxing solo meal.
