Soba Osame, once renowned in Nishi-Azabu, has opened a new stage in Mejiro. Beyond the door lies a tranquil space, a century-old traditional Japanese house lovingly restored to let you forget the bustle of the city. Modern comforts blend seamlessly with the charm of a courtyard garden’s greenery.

The star of the restaurant is rare heirloom varieties of soba, rooted in regions across Japan. Each morning, the owner carefully grinds whole buckwheat by hand, preparing just enough for the day, and crafts three styles—"seiro," "coarsely ground," and "whole-ground (genbiki)"—each showcasing its own character. The rustic yet robust aroma and vibrant, life-filled flavor embody the true essence of soba.

• Arrival time:

  Please arrive 5 minutes before your reserved time to ensure a timely start of your meal. If you do not contact us and exceed your reservation time, it will be automatically canceled.

• Dress Code:

  Dress code is smart casual (Please refrain from wearing T-shirts, shorts, and sandals when you visit.)

• Children:

  Guests aged 6 and above are welcome.

• Others:

  *Regarding perfume: At Soba Osame, we wish for all guests to fully enjoy the delicate aroma of soba. For this reason, we kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing perfume or cologne when visiting. The fragrance may spread throughout the dining area and disturb the experience of other customers. Because the aroma is an essential part of soba, any interference with it is a very serious matter. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us preserve this experience for everyone.
