Kabukizaura Masashi （歌舞伎座裏 まさし）

As names and natures do often agree, “Kabukizaura Masashi” is located in a single house facing an alley right behind the Kabukiza Theatre.

The colourful murals depict the relationship between people and food, with imaginative scenes from ancient times to the future. Notably, it features faces with Kabuki makeup. The omakase menu is rich in variety, offering two pieces of nigiri sushi, fried items with contrasting textures like tempura and fried foods, and pan-fried dumplings reflecting the chef’s experience in Chinese cuisine.

Fresh sashimi and charcoal-grilled fish are always available, with sushi also featured in the course menu. The dishes and service are simplified yet attentive, and the carefully selected sake choices recommended by the proprietress are sure to please.

  Please arrive 5 minutes before your reserved time to ensure a timely start of your meal. If you do not contact us and exceed your reservation time, it will be automatically canceled.

  Dress code is smart casual (Please refrain from wearing T-shirts, shorts, and sandals when you visit.)

  Available for weekend use only. If you wish to visit with children on weekdays, please be sure to consult with us in advance.
