Jyoun （如雲）

Jyoun, located in Nagoya’s Nagono district, is a Japanese restaurant devoted to quietly and sincerely drawing out the inherent flavors of its ingredients.

After honing his craft in Kyoto and gaining further experience, the chef now expresses his personal culinary philosophy at Jyoun. The menu consists of a single seasonal course, reflecting the changing rhythms of nature. Seafood and vegetables are carefully selected at their peak, and rather than relying heavily on salt or seasoning, each dish is composed to define the true character of the ingredients and leave a gentle, lingering finish.

With no reliance on showy presentation, every plate is restrained and serene, subtly capturing the atmosphere of the season in that very moment.

The restaurant features a calm, counter-centered space, where guests can enjoy a quiet, focused dining experience while observing the chef’s movements up close.

• Arrival time:

  All guests will be seated and the course will begin simultaneously at the reserved time.

  In the event of late arrival or early departure, we may be unable to serve certain courses or may need to modify the menu.

  Please note that arrivals more than 30 minutes late may be treated as a cancellation.

• Dress Code:

  Dress code is smart casual (Please refrain from wearing T-shirts, shorts, and sandals when you visit.)

• Children:

  Only those who can enjoy the same course as adults are allowed

• Others:

  We kindly ask for your consideration regarding excessive perfume or fabric softener fragrances.

  We accept reservations only from customers who understand Japanese or English. Please note that if you come to the restaurant only if you do not understand Japanese or English, it will be treated as a same-day cancellation and 100% of the cancellation policy will be applied.
