Kanamean Nishitomiya （要庵 西富家）

Japanese Kaiseki served in a ryokan(traditional Japanese inns) established in 1873.

Kaiseki cuisine at "Kanamean Nishitomiya" is based on the spirit of “season, vessel, and opportunity”, which are related to the tea ceremony, and the uniqueness of Kanamean Nishitomiya.

The restaurant is the only one in Kyoto that is a member of Relais & Chateaux, and the owner and proprietress work together with the chefs to create menus based on ideas they have gained from their experiences abroad, and sometimes incorporate Western ingredients while respecting the traditions of Kyoto cuisine.

We prepare Kyoto-style dishes with a creative twist that will surely delight you.

• Arrival time:

  Please arrive 5 minutes before your reserved time to ensure a timely start of your meal. If you do not contact us and exceed your reservation time, it will be automatically canceled.

• Dress Code:

  Dress code is smart casual (Please refrain from wearing T-shirts, shorts, and sandals when you visit.)

• Children:

  Guests aged 10 and above are welcome.
