About Sushi Rakumi
"Sushi Rakumi" offers a unique omakase course that combines traditional Kyoto cuisine with Edomae sushi.
You can enjoy the delicious taste of Kyoto dashi soup stock combined with Edo-mae-style preparation.
We purchase our ingredients mainly from the Kyoto Central Market, but we also source good seasonal ones from the Toyosu Market and Yaizu through our interactions in Tsukiji. The counter is shaped like the Japanese letter “く” so that the distance between all customers is even, and you can see the cooking scene from every seat.
A spacious waiting room is located on the second floor, where you can relax with a drink before the start of the course.
We hope you will enjoy Sushi Rakumi’s creative and delightful dishes.

Reviews of Sushi Rakumi

Posted on : 01/11/2025We visited Sushi Rakumi for my husband’s 40th birthday and it was a fantastic experience! The food was delicious and the chefs were so personable even though there was a bit of language barrier. They even sang my husband happy birthday! It was such a fun atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its premium experience. It really is a highlight from our trip to Japan that we will always remember. Thank you!Dale

Posted on : 06/12/2024Overall experience is superb! From the beginning side to the dessert, I enjoyed a lot. Even I can’t speak good Japanese, the restaurant will try to explain in English. The atmosphere is joyful. Quite enjoyed the dinner. Hopefully to come back with the whole family!Thomas
