About roku
The restaurant name "roku" takes its name from the birth months(Roku means "six") of the couple who own it, and they aim to provide French cuisine that is rooted in the local community at Sangubashi.
The chef sources ingredients from familiar producers, infusing French cuisine with his own unique touches. Wild vegetables, mushrooms, and game meats feature products from his hometown, Nagano Prefecture.
Seasonal fruit-based desserts are overseen by Madame.
Using rare ingredients not commonly seen, "Roku" offers the opportunity to experience new flavors.

Posted on : 03/03/2024Great lunch at Roku restaurant as a foreigner as every dish was explained well. Solid cooking, service, atmosphere, taste was good as well. I can definitely pick on a few things as an experienced dinner but overall a great meal for value at a 1 Michelin star.

Posted on : 02/03/2024The food was amazing as expected. The service wasn't anything special - in a good way. They explained what the menu was with the appropriate service without being over the top.
The word that describe this restaurant the best is "happy". Everyone that was there, including myself was so joyful throughout the entire experience. This place is a must visit.
