Food is amazing and the service is great. The family is very polite and professional, where would spend the time to introduce the local ingredients, which they take pride of. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

A dinner to remember celebrating my husband’s birthday. We were immediately greeted with hospitality and amazing food. The food celebrated many local ingredients and well-known Japanese plates. The omakase took plates that we know and love to the next level of flavor and excellence. The matriarch of the family did a great job showing us ingredients in a book she had on hand. The Watanabe family are masters in their art. They even honored the Western tradition of presenting a birthday candle on the dessert. The family also ensured we got to our taxi safely and kindly waved to us goodbye. I aim to return next time I’m in Kyoto as I formed several core memories here. Don’t miss this place.
