At our restaurant, we pursue a new style of kappo—a contemporary interpretation of traditional Japanese cuisine, rooted in Osaka’s rich food heritage—including heirloom vegetables and fresh seafood from the wider Kansai region, and elevated by modern techniques and sensibilities.

Our head chef trained for 15 years at the renowned Naniwa Kappo Kigawa, mastering the essence of Kansai cuisine.

We prepare each dish with meticulous care, using seasonal ingredients sourced mainly from the Kansai region—from charcoal-grilled delicacies to simmered offerings brimming with umami flavor. The dashi used in our soup courses is enriched with premium makombu kelp, honoring the culinary traditions of Semba’s merchant culture. Naniwa’s heirloom vegetables are featured with the hope of sharing the true charm of Osaka through every dish.

At times, French elements are thoughtfully incorporated—for example, a one-of-a-kind Americaine sauce made with seafood and miso—creating bold flavors found nowhere else.

To accompany the cuisine, the chef personally curates a selection of premium sake, wines, and champagne—each carefully chosen to harmonize with the seasonal dishes.
