About il Centrino
Quietly nestled in a corner near the Nagaya-lined Karahori Shopping Street, il Centrino is an Italian restaurant housed in a fully renovated traditional Japanese townhouse.
The interior is warm and inviting, featuring reclaimed wood and antique materials that create an atmosphere of quiet sophistication. Soft lighting and modern design elements gently put guests at ease from the moment they arrive.
At the helm is Chef Kitaguchi, who honed his craft in both Italy and Tokyo. His cuisine is rooted in the rich traditions of regional Italian cooking, particularly from northern Italy—Piedmont, Veneto, and beyond. Drawing on techniques learned at distinguished ristoranti, he blends classical methods with his own creativity and refined sensibility to craft modern Italian dishes. Each plate is simply yet beautifully presented, like a work of art. The flavors are delicate and light, yet leave a lasting impression.
Chef Kitaguchi’s exceptional work has been recognized with a Michelin star—a reflection of the skill and aesthetic philosophy behind each dish. Every plate delivers not just exquisite flavor, but a sense of deep fulfillment.
To complement the cuisine, the sommelier has curated a diverse selection of wines. Whether guests are in the mood for just a sip or a leisurely pairing with their meal, they are invited to enjoy selections that perfectly match their preferences.
For special occasions or gatherings, spacious table seating is available. For a more casual experience, the comfortable counter seats provide a warm and welcoming option.
Enjoy a memorable moment in this refined space, where Michelin-starred cuisine and heartfelt hospitality come together to create a dining experience that lingers in memory.
