Sushi Shigenaga is an intimate, counter‑only sushi restaurant located in Kitashinchi, Osaka. We offer an omakase course that brings together Edomae‑style sushi and seasonal Japanese dishes.

Our seafood is carefully selected, with a focus on exceptionally fresh fish sourced from across Kyushu, including Amakusa in Kumamoto Prefecture. For tuna, we use only premium wild‑caught fish procured from trusted suppliers. We honor the natural character of each ingredient and take pride in crafting every piece of sushi as a complete and refined dish.

The shari is made from a proprietary blend of two rice varieties, meticulously cooked in traditional Nambu ironware. Our house‑made sushi vinegar is a carefully balanced blend of rice vinegar and red vinegar, and the temperature of the rice is finely adjusted to complement each topping. To ensure that every piece is enjoyed at its best, we do not accommodate requests for reduced rice portions. A selection of sake thoughtfully chosen to accompany the cuisine is also available.

The restaurant features a counter crafted from a single slab of Yoshino cypress, creating a calm and understated atmosphere. Guests are invited to relax and savor the essence of Japanese sushi culture in this serene setting.
