Freda Chua5.0Posted on :01/22/2025What an exceptional restaurant! My sister and I had the most divine tempura and especially loved the uni wrapped in super thin rice paper, the scallop with shiitake mushrooms, and tempura egg yolk over beautifully grilled wagyu beef! The chef was humorous and jovial, and the staff was attentive and wonderful! Definitely a must-visit in Osaka!

James Woo4.8Posted on :10/25/2024We had a very nice innovative Japanese dinner. As I have been to many Michelin 2 & 3 stars restaurants before, I truly think Yugen's 2 stars is well worth it. The quality of the ingredient and the taste was good. The only downside is the venue is a bit difficult to find.

David Fuller5.0Posted on :02/13/2024Our lunch at Liaison was an unforgettable experience. The food was stunning, with top notch ingredients showing off their flavors and an approach that was innovative without being pretentious. It was undeniably French food, not fusion, but could only have been served this way in Japan. The course progression was thoughtful and the drinks were well matched - including an iced tea pairing menu! The staff were welcoming, efficient, and hospitable. When we come back to Osaka, we will come back to Liaison.

The chef's passion for his craft transcended language barriers, adding an authentic touch to the overall dining experience.
One notable aspect of Kawahara's Omakase Lunch was the chef's willingness to engage with diners, explaining the inspiration behind each dish and offering insights into the culinary process. This added a personal touch to the meal, making it more than just a dining experience but a cultural and educational journey.
