About IZAKI
A Unique Culinary Experience of Chinese × Italian Fusion by Chef Daisaku Izaki
Chef Daisaku Izaki, originally from Minamishimabara in Nagasaki Prefecture, presents an innovative fusion of Chinese and Italian cuisine that transcends traditional culinary boundaries. After honing his skills in a variety of genres—from sushi and bistros to Italian and Chinese—he played key roles in launching renowned Tokyo restaurants such as Toshi and Rou Hasegawa Minoru Lab. Driven by a desire to offer cuisine unconstrained by category, he opened his own restaurant centered around a distinctive omakase experience.
The menu consists solely of a seasonal approximately 14-course omakase. Using carefully selected ingredients—many sourced directly from fishermen and farmers, including those from his hometown in Nagasaki—Chef Izaki transforms the finest seasonal vegetables and seafood into dishes that surprise and delight. The use of Nagasaki ceramic ware further enhances the visual presentation, creating a dining experience that appeals to all five senses.
The interior features a sleek and intimate space with just six curved counter seats, offering guests a sense of privacy and exclusivity. The open kitchen provides a live, immersive atmosphere where diners can witness the chef’s techniques up close. Ideal for special moments with family or close friends. Requests such as early start times or dining with children can be accommodated with flexibility.
Chef Izaki’s inventive fusion of Chinese and Italian elements reflects his wide-ranging experience and creative spirit. Paired with a curated selection of fine drinks, each course is crafted to leave a lasting impression. Enjoy an elegant and personal dining experience where tradition meets innovation—an unforgettable journey through flavor, artistry, and hospitality.
