Tucked quietly behind Hommage, a Michelin two-starred restaurant renowned for its consistent excellence, stands the bistro noura. The name "noura" carries the meaning of “reverse” or “hidden,” and as its name suggests, it offers a humble and approachable contrast to the refined artistry of Hommage. Chef Yoshio Matsumoto, a seasoned talent, honed his skills in some of France’s most celebrated kitchens—including two-starred establishments such as Michel Trama and Jacques Chibois, as well as Auberge du Claux des Cimes (now led by Régis and Jacques Marcon), and the one-starred Jacques Decoret.

In contrast to the creative and expressive cuisine of Hommage, noura focuses on faithfully prepared, heartwarming dishes that evoke a sense of nostalgia and comfort. Guests can enjoy a variety of authentic French bistro fare crafted with precision and care—from classic onion gratin soup and fish quenelles to duck confit and the beloved national favorite, steak frites. Each dish celebrates the traditional flavors of regional French cooking.

Seasonal ingredients are used generously, with great care taken to highlight their natural character. While grounded in the fundamentals of classical French technique, Chef Matsumoto weaves in the subtle sensibilities of Japanese aesthetics to create plates that offer fresh discoveries and delight with every bite.

  Please arrive 5 minutes before your reserved time to ensure a timely start of your meal. If you do not contact us and exceed your reservation time, it will be automatically canceled.

  Guests aged 12 and above, and able to enjoy the course meal.

  If you plan to bring a stroller, please kindly indicate this in the special note section when making your reservation.

• Others:

  We kindly ask for your consideration regarding strong fragrances, such as excessive perfume or fabric softener, for the comfort of all our guests.

  If you are celebrating a special occasion, we offer a commemorative plate featuring two of our puddings for an additional 1,500 JPY (tax included; service charge not included).

  It will be brought to your table with a message card and a lit candle, then wrapped for you to take home as a gift. You may include a personalized message of up to approximately 60 characters on the card.
