“ESqUISSE” means “sketch” in French—evoking a spirit of unbounded creativity and artistic freedom. Located in the heart of Ginza, Tokyo, ESqUISSE pursues the essence of French gastronomy, offering a unique and refined gastronomic journey.

Since opening in June 2012, the restaurant has consistently maintained its prestigious two-star rating in the Michelin Guide Tokyo.

Executive Chef Lionel Beccat crafts each dish with deep reverence for ingredients and masterful technique. His creations transcend the boundaries of classical French cuisine, uniting innovation and philosophy in culinary works of art. By drawing out the inherent brilliance of hand-selected seasonal ingredients and presenting them with minimalist elegance, he transforms each course into a memorable harmony of flavor and artistry.

His cuisine is elevated further by the exquisite wine pairings curated by General Manager and Sommelier Eiji Wakabayashi, recipient of the newly established Sommelier Award in the Michelin Guide Tokyo 2025. Beyond his exceptional knowledge and refined curation, his profound understanding of winemaking allows him to shape the entire dining experience into something truly extraordinary.

• Arrival time:

  Please arrive 5 minutes before your reserved time to ensure a timely start of your meal. If you do not contact us and exceed your reservation time, it will be automatically canceled.

• Dress Code:

  Dress code is smart casual or formal. (Please refrain from wearing T-shirts, shorts, athletic wear, or sandals when you visit.)Jacket attire is recommended for gentlemen.

• Children:

  Guests aged 12 and above, and able to enjoy the course meal.

• Others:

  【For Japanese Guests】：To avoid mispronunciation of your name, please be sure to enter the phonetic reading of the reservation name when making your booking.

  We kindly ask that you refrain from using strong fragrances, such as excessive perfume, fabric softener, or strongly scented henna.

  Please be mindful not to include other guests in your photos when taking pictures inside the restaurant.

  The entire premises, including the waiting area, is strictly non-smoking.

  A private dining room (for up to 6 guests) is available for an additional charge of 5,600 JPY (tax and service charge included). If you wish to reserve it, please indicate so in the special requests section when booking. The fee is to be paid on-site on the day of your visit.

  *Please note that from April 2026, the private room fee will be 10,000 JPY (tax included, service charge not included).

  Menus and communication are available in English and French.
