Asakusa Hirayama

“Soba Kaiseki Tsukiji Bunkajin Kaza” presents itself as a “new-style classic,” offering a kaiseki-inspired experience built around stone-milled, handmade soba. Owner Yujiro Matsuda trained at the renowned “Ayase Jukichi” before opening his own restaurant in 2013. He travels to buckwheat-growing regions across Japan to select the finest grains, stone-milling them in-house and crafting the noodles each day to suit the humidity and aroma of the moment.
Fresh fish and vegetables sourced each morning from Toyosu Market shape a menu in which even individual dishes—such as tempura and small bowls of soba—are prepared with uncompromising care.
Dinner is offered as a course-only experience, allowing guests to savor both food and drink at a relaxed pace. The sake selection rotates seasonally, with 10–15 varieties available at any time, complemented by shochu and wine chosen to harmonize with the fragrance of the soba and the lingering depth of the dashi.
The modern interior, grounded in Japanese sensibilities yet comfortably unpretentious, features both counter and table seating, making it suitable for dates, business dinners, and gatherings alike.
For a special evening, discover the distinctive pleasure of a soba restaurant’s kaiseki-style course.
