Fernando Alonso5.0Posted on :05/29/2025The food and the overall experience were excellent! The chef himself explained every dish and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend.
-
Daniela Matiz4.3Posted on :04/26/2025Great experience with Japanese flavour and Spanish inspiration
-
Luc4.5Posted on :04/05/2025Great experience and excellent service. We had the 12 course meal, maybe a bit too much for our taste. Every course was a surprise with some than others. The salad could have left out, no added value. We did expect some more guidance on wine paring, for a 2 star restaurant. But the wines received had excellent taste and quality. The chef greeted us when we left, nice touch. We would recommend.
2. Tenoshima (てのしま) / Japanese / Aoyama

Located in Minami-Aoyama, this restaurant offers a relaxed way to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine. It has been consistently awarded a Michelin star for many years. Owner and Chef Mr. Hayashi hails from Teshima, a small island in Kagawa Prefecture, and incorporates local specialties and ingredients from the Seto Inland Sea coastline – often absent in traditional kaiseki cuisine. Drink pairings are thoughtfully curated to complement the dishes, and include a selection of fine ciders, craft beers, and sake, as well as non-alcoholic options. The chef can explain the dishes and provide full customer service in English. Furthermore, the restaurant employs a native English speaker full-time and offers English menus.

Brett Jordan4.5Posted on :11/02/2024Overall extremely pleased with our meal at Daikanyama Issai! We opted for the seasonal course and I’m not exaggerating the ponzu style sauce on top of the fatty wagyu left me with a childlike smile. Each course felt like a warm hug on a cold rainy day, each being unique with seasonal ingredients. I would and will recommend this place to anyone visiting Tokyo. If you love great food, you will definitely leave feeling full and happy :)
-
Martin Reichardt5.0Posted on :09/23/2024We spent a perfect evening in this small, cosy restaurant. Each of the 11 courses was surprising, creative and perfect and it was a pleasure to watch the chef prepare them. The western influences on Japanese cuisine are slightly noticeable, but this is very good for the result. Highly recommended for a culinary highlight.
-
CY4.3Posted on :09/07/2024Exceeded expectations. Each sashimi dish was paired with seasonal plants in a complementary way, enhancing the fresh and savory flavors. Very creative. The atmosphere was relaxed. I will definitely come back next time.

V Madan5.0Posted on :10/28/2024Had a lovely omakase lunch experience featuring local and seasonal cuisine. Exquisite flavors, excellent variety, lovely presentation with caring attention to detail, warmly served up by pleasant team. Highly recommend!
(Note that if you have a noon appointment for lunch, the elevator won't actually let you go to the restaurant's floor before noon so don't get confused if you are early and the elevator doesn't let you press the right button - took me a while to figure out how to get Google to translate what the elevator was saying, whew :) ).
