About Kappo Muroi
Opened in 2023 in Nishiazabu, Kappo Muroi is a restaurant that carries on the name of the founder’s father-run Kappo Muroi in Ginza, a legacy passed down from him.
Chef Go Muroi, who honed his craft at the family’s Ginza establishment, also trained at the renowned Kyoto restaurant 「Kyo-Kaiseki Kichisen」, 「Yamazaki」 in Nishiazabu, which earned a Michelin one-star rating, and another Michelin three-star restaurant.
The omakase course at Kappo Muroi is rooted in the history and techniques of Kyoto-style Japanese cuisine with twists of playfulness. The dishes maximize seasonal ingredients, paying careful attention to elements like "aroma" and "temperature," which are integral to the essence of Japanese culinary tradition.
