81Tokyo is a 12‑seat chef’s table that brings together two worlds rarely experienced as one: gastronomy and art.

At its core is the cuisine of owner‑chef Takeshi Nagashima, whose career includes training at the legendary three‑Michelin‑star restaurant El Bulli in Spain and earning a Michelin star at his former restaurant 81 in Nishi‑Azabu. Drawing on this background, 81Tokyo explores food as a form of expression.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed into the second‑floor gallery, where a brief reception and a seasonally changing exhibition set the tone for the evening. Guests are then guided to the chef’s table, where an experience unfolds that exists only in that moment, as cuisine and art respond to one another.

Within this space, ideas, ingredients, gestures, and even fleeting moments overlap and enter into dialogue. As plates and space, expression and body resonate with one another, chefs, artists, and guests mutually influence the experience—giving rise to forms of expression that could never emerge in isolation.

• Dietary restrictions / Allergies:

  If you have any specific food allergies or ingredients you cannot consume, please inform us in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot accept reservations if there are ingredients that you cannot eat within a wide range.

  If you have extensive allergies or food dislikes that may affect more than one dish in a course, your reservation will be cancelled and subject to the cancellation policy depending on the timing of your request. Please check with us in advance before making a reservation.

  Please let us know in the special requests section at the time of booking if you require vegan or halal options.

• Arrival time:

  Please arrive 5 minutes before your reserved time to ensure a timely start of your meal. If you arrive more than 15 minutes past your reserved time, your reservation will be automatically canceled.

  The experience begins promptly at your reserved time. Please note that if you arrive late or need to leave during the course, we may not be able to serve certain dishes. We kindly ask that you plan your visit with sufficient time.

  For each seating, we recommend arriving early to enjoy the reception in our private art gallery.

  ・First seating: The reception opens at 5:45 PM. Dinner begins at 6:00 PM.

  ・Second seating: The reception opens at 8:45 PM. Dinner begins at 9:00 PM.

• Dress Code:

  Dress code is smart casual (Please refrain from wearing T-shirts, shorts, and sandals when you visit.)

• Children:

  Only those who can enjoy the same course as adults are allowed.

• Others:

  We kindly ask for your consideration regarding excessive perfume or fabric softener fragrances.

  We offer an intimate dining space where guests enjoy their meal in close proximity to one another.

  To preserve this atmosphere, seating is arranged at a shared table. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.
