About Nogizaka Shin

Experience an elegant moment in a whimsical, traditional Japanese-style space, savoring exquisite dishes.

Kaiseki cuisine created by chefs who have gained experience at Michelin-starred Japanese restaurants.

This is a Japanese cuisine restaurant established by Shinji Ishida, who has a background in Tokushima’s traditional inns and experience in Michelin-starred Japanese restaurants in Ginza and Paris, and Yasuhide Tobita, who has a wide range of experience from French cuisine to Japanese cuisine. They joined forces to create this restaurant.

You can enjoy a variety of dishes using carefully selected ingredients from all over Japan in our kaiseki courses.

Chef Shinji Ishida has a strong passion for using seabream, an essential element in Japanese cuisine, and the courses he presents are both visually appealing and a delight to the taste buds.

To complement the flavors of our dishes, our drinks are curated by Yasuhide Tobita, who was awarded the 2022 Goût et Miyo Best Sommelier. We have a selection of over 120 drinks at all times, allowing you to enjoy a perfect pairing with the cuisine.

We also offer English language support, so please do come and enjoy our kaiseki cuisine at our restaurant.

The restaurant has been awarded one Michelin star since 2016.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Nogizaka Shin. The ambience, food, and service were superb. The chef and his staff obviously take great (and justifiable) pride in their restaurant. The meal was beautiful and delicious. The chef and sommelier accompanied us to the door and wished us well as we departed.
The restaurant was a little difficult to find because they have no prominent sign to mark the entrance though staff quickly noted we were nearby and welcomed us.

Fabulous dinner all around. Impeccable service, and a stunning wine list. They even provide napkins, which is unusual in Japan. We are definitely coming back on our next trip to Tokyo. A phenomenal experience, and well worth the high price!

It was one of the best Michelin experience we had in Tokyo. Throughout our trip, we tried 5 other Michelin starred restaurants, but Nogizaka Shin was the most memorable because of the wonderful people and of course, the meal. Every dish wonderfully reflected the season and we loved how it was not over seasoned so we can actually taste the quality of the ingredients. The service was also superb and the chef was very interactive even with our limited Japanese. We will definitely be returning and recommending the place to our friends who want to experience traditional yet innovative Japanese cuisine that is not sushi-focused.
