About La Biographie···
La Biographie, a beacon of gastronomy in Kyoto, celebrates the bounty of each season and has been awarded one Michelin star in 2011 by the Michelin Guide Kyoto-Osaka. Even after its relocation in 2021, it continues to shine with its one-star acclaim.
Chef Masahiro Takimoto, who mastered the essence of French cuisine at three-star establishments in Switzerland and France, now crafts his signature culinary expressions in Kyoto, the historic heart of Japan.
His expertise in delicate cooking techniques, like the 100-minute grilling of meats and careful preparation of vegetables, ensures the natural flavors and integrity of the ingredients are preserved. Dining at La Biographie offers a deeper connection to the Japanese spirit, and the quintessence of Kyoto.
The restaurant’s wine selection is curated with passion, centering on the chef’s favored French vintages and encompassing celebrated European wines, creating perfect pairings for an elevated dining experience.
On your visit to Kyoto, La Biographie invites you to a distinguished gastronomic journey unlike any other.
