About Ginza Toyoda
“Ginza Toyoda” is located in the well-known Ginza dining area, “Namikidori”, where famous and long-established restaurants populate the avenue,
Head chef Seiji Funashima had previously worked at the renowned and exclusive invitation-only restaurant “Akasaka Matsukawa” since its establishment, for 8 years, before taking on the role of head chef at Ginza Toyoda in 2021.
The restaurant offers exquisite Japanese Kappo cuisine that allows guests to savor the seasonal flavors. Kappo cuisine entails customers being seated closely to the chef at a counter, and the dishes are served one dish at a time. Chef Funashima personally procures fresh ingredients daily at the Tsukiji Market, and he also sources other unique ingredients from various regions across Japan. Based on the chef’s dedication to creating flavorful Dashi broths, the dishes created using these carefully selected seasonal ingredients embody his sincere approach to cooking, which warms both the stomach and the heart of the customers
The restaurant offers a collection of rare and carefully selected sake, each representing the dedication and passion of the Toji who brewed them, to complement the seasonal dishes. Each sake has been curated by the proprietress who is profoundly knowledgeable about Japanese sake.
The ambiance of the restaurant reflects the proprietor’s elegance. Customers seated at the counter, which is made from Japanese Beech (Toga), can enjoy the sounds and aromas of their food being prepared, making this an ideal setting for dates and casual dining. For entertainment and business occasions, the restaurant also provides elegant tables made of Bubinga wood, as well as private rooms with a commanding view of Namikidori through large windows.
We invite you to join us in this luxurious setting befitting of Ginza’s Namikidori to savor the pinnacle of Japanese cuisine, prepared with meticulous attention to detail, and indulge in the flavors of the seasons with all your senses.

Posted on : 04/11/2025The staff at Ginza Toyoda are all extremely kind, and welcoming to all guests. I was led to the counter where I tasted an amazing selection of local fares. If you are staying anywhere close to the Ginza area I would recommend checking out Ginza Toyoda.Chris Cagle

Posted on : 04/02/2024My wife and I had such an amazing Michelin starred Kaiseki experience at Ginza Toyoda. Great traditional Japanese cuisine experience, great cooking, atmosphere and service. Absolutely recommended. Plus, it is one of the few Michelin starred restaurant in Tokyo not super expensive which is bookable in advance via web with credit card.W.Z
Posted on : 02/28/2024Each course is beautifully presented and artfully prepared. The flavors are delicate and complex, and the textures are perfectly balanced.
