About Chez Olivier
“Chez Olivier” translates directly to “Olivier's House” and was established in Ichigaya in 2009 with the desire for guests to enjoy authentic French cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.
Chez Olivier is an authentic French restaurant opened by French chef Olivier Odos. Olivier, who has an extensive background, was working for the renowned La Tour d'Argent and came to Japan in 2000 as a culinary professor at Le Cordon Bleu.
He is particular about organic ingredients and homemade products, avoids making things ahead of time, and offers dishes that are expertly cooked and sauced to the utmost perfection. For example, even butter is handmade from scratch in the kitchen, not ready-made. It has a fresh taste made from Hokkaido milk and is accented with the aroma of chili peppers from Espelette, France. In addition, chicken and veal stock, as well as sablé and sorbet for dessert, are all homemade. Without forgetting to respect the ingredients, the chef aims to create simple, beautiful dishes that are genuinely and straightforwardly delicious.
The chef himself also suggests wine pairings, and you can enjoy authentic French cuisine in a space with a sophisticated interior that allows bright sunlight to shine through.
